1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website can ask a browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage is different: it retains information for a website in the browser but does not automatically attach it to HTTP requests. Both can be relevant to privacy and consent rules. This build sets no HTTP cookies through its HTML or JavaScript. It stores a small local preference record so the banner does not need to ask the same question on every page.
This policy describes the supplied site code. A future hosting provider, proxy or added service could introduce additional technologies. An operating publisher must audit those deployment choices and update this inventory before enabling them. The illustrative company details in the footer are not a verified statement of an operating legal entity.
2. Storage inventory
The table distinguishes technologies actually present from categories that are not installed. Optional category names in the preferences panel are permissions only, not evidence that a third-party service is running.
| Category | Name / technology | Purpose | Duration / status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | clipcottage-cookie-consentFirst-party localStorage | Remembers choice, category permissions, policy version and timestamp. Not a tracking identifier. | Valid for 180 days; checked and removed on a later visit if expired. |
| Analytics | No cookies or services installed | No audience measurement or cross-page behavioural reporting is performed by this code. | Not applicable; off by default. |
| Functional | No optional cookies or services installed | No saved design boards, embedded maps or external personalisation tools. | Not applicable; off by default. |
3. What each choice means
“Accept All” saves permission for both optional categories. “Reject Non-Essential” saves both categories as disabled. “Preferences” lets you choose them separately before saving. Essential preference storage is used in all three cases solely to remember the decision. Accepting does not currently download analytics, load an external widget or send your preference record to a server.
You can reopen the panel with the Cookie preferences control in every footer or the button below. Saving a new selection replaces the previous record. If browser storage is unavailable, the selection applies only to the current page and a notice explains that it cannot be remembered. The site’s reading content remains available regardless of the choice.
4. Browser opt-out and deletion
You can remove this site’s stored data through your browser’s privacy or site-settings controls. In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, and find site data or site settings. In Firefox, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, and use Cookies and Site Data to manage stored sites. In Safari on macOS, open Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data. In Edge, look under Settings and Cookies and site permissions, or search settings for “site data.” Menu names can vary by version and device.
Search for clipcottagepckbrd.shop and remove its data. Clearing only cookies may not clear local storage in every interface, so choose the option that removes all site data where available. Deleting the record causes the banner to return on the next visit. Blocking storage entirely can also prevent the site from remembering your rejection, without causing optional tracking to run.
5. Signals, changes and questions
No advertising sale, sharing or cross-site tracking functionality is present, so there is no additional tracking activity to disable in response to a Global Privacy Control signal. Private browsing may discard preferences when its session ends. Choices are browser-specific and do not automatically synchronise across your devices.
If optional services are introduced, the inventory and consent version must be updated and fresh permission requested before a materially new purpose is activated. Earlier consent should not be treated as unlimited approval for unspecified tracking. Read the privacy policy for wider data handling information, or direct cookie questions to [email protected]; mailbox operation is not verified by this static build.
